Technology Central

St. Paul's is a leader in the adoption of technology to enhance the learning environment in the classroom. From its start in the early eighties with a ten-station lab, the St. Paul's technology department has developed a campus-wide network connecting all classrooms. More than 900 laptops connect to the network via wireless access points installed throughout the main campus and another 135 desktop workstations are connected by Ethernet.

Students in grades K-2 have access to 30 Apple iPads in the library and in the classrooms. 17 classrooms have interactive whiteboards.

The school has a lab containing 25 desktops for third and fourth grade classes where they learn typing skills and Microsoft Office programs. There are also Neo-2 and AlphaSmart keyboards in each third and fourth grade classroom. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards.

The Junior Middle School is equipped with a wireless laptop cart and has a 25 station lab for technology instruction.

All students in grades 7-12 participate in a 1 to 1 laptop program. Network printing and storage are provided for all the students.

St. Paul's continually works with teachers to develop new lessons and instructional strategies which take advantage of the technology and provide learning experiences not available in the traditional classroom.

Lenovo Warranty Service Center and Helpdesk

St. Paul’s has a certified warranty service center to provide service on student laptops. Students who encounter hardware issues should bring their laptops to Moorer Library where a staff member will evaluate the situation, orders parts and performs the required service. Students are provided with a loaner laptop while theirs is being repaired.

The service center also provides software assistance including restoring the laptop to its original condition if software has become an issue.
